TERMS & CONDITIONS
Before you submit your ABC Nursery childcare enquiry please read our terms and conditions outlined below.
ENQUIRY
Once you have submitted your enquiry via our online form (bottom of page) you will be contacted by email/phone to book a visit.
We ask that you bring your child with you to the visit. During your visit you will get the opportunity to view all areas of childcare and ask any childcare questions.
After your visit we will contact you to see if you are wanting to move forward with childcare. If you do not then we will close your enquiry.
If you decide to take up childcare with ABC Nursery you will be required to complete a registration form [refer to 1.1].
REGISTRATION
If a childcare place is offered to your child you [parent/guardian] will be required to submit a registration form providing accurate details that include -
name(s) of responsible adults; address(s); telephone number(s); email(s); date of birth (child), medical and dietary needs (child) and any other necessary information required by us [setting].
Once a registration form is accepted by us [setting] you [parent/guardian] will be required to pay [by BACS only] a £50.00 non refundable administration fee.
The £50 administration fee does not go towards childcare, food or consumables and is non refundable if you cancel your child's registration before your child starts.
Once your child's starting date has been confirmed the manager [of setting] will arrange with the parent/guardian settling in sessions to ensure that your child has a smooth transition into our care.
FEES
Our fees are set and reviewed in light of our financial position and the cost to provide our services. We will give 6 weeks written notice prior to any fee increase. All fees are charged monthly in advance of childcare and must be paid within the stated time frame by either;
- Cash
- BACS
- Childcare Voucher
- Tax Free Childcare
If fees are paid late we may charge a late fee. This will be discussed with you in advance of your next invoice.
Fees charged beyond funded entitlement.

Fees are payable during all periods of your child’s absence where childcare has been agreed. This is not an exclusive list however examples of absences include;
- sickness (child/parent/guardian)
- family holidays
- public and bank holidays
If you are expected to arrive later than the agreed collection time we ask that you make us aware by contacting (this includes calling the landline and sending 'sms' [text message] to the manager) the setting at least 30 minutes ahead so that we can make necessary childcare arrangements.
We expect lateness to be self corrected. If it becomes a regular occurrence we may review your contract with us.
Certain factors may force an urgent setting closure. In such cases parents/guardians will still be liable for fees incurred during the period of closure.
This can include
Severe weather
Power cut

TERMINATING CHILDCARE
Before childcare has started i.e. in the registration phase
If it becomes apparent to us [setting] that the information provided by you [parent/guardian] on the registration form, after it has been accepted by us [setting], is inaccurate, we [setting] reserve the right to withdraw any childcare offered to you [parent/guardian] and the administration fee [£50] is non refundable.
The £50 administration fee is non refundable if you cancel your child's registration before your child starts.
Once childcare has started
We [setting] reserve the right to terminate a childcare contract for any reasonable reason on a 6 week written notice.
Treatment of our staff
We do not tolerate inappropriate behaviour towards our staff or anyone on our premises that is deemed abusive, threatening, or violent. Any such behaviour may result in an immediate termination of a childcare contract and without any notice (by us) or refund on advanced fees paid to us [setting].
The parent/guardian can terminate their childcare contract, in full or part thereof, at any time on a 6 week written (email only) notice. Fees are charged, and due in full, for the 6 weeks notice period.
If you are taking up a funded only place under the EYFE (Early Years Free Entitlement) no notice is required for agreed funded hours, however, we ask that you let us know at your earliest possibility.
